My Silly Family: Memories of a Chair

The family and I moved around some furniture the other evening. One of the items we moved was my glider rocking chair.

When Sweet Cheeks was REALLY young, I took a picture of her with her brother on this rocking chair. It was a momentous occasion because this “sitting on the chair together” had been initiated by RB. Preschool – Lower Elementary Plant Unit

Here is the Plant Unit I loosely designed for my K5/1st grader and K4 child. We worked on this for 4 months. I started out using Apologia’s Young Explorers Biology text as a foundation. I read little snip-its from it and then supplemented with books from the library. You’ll find a list of every book we read listed below. THIS Critter I Can Handle

I get to add a new animal to our rose garden zoo.

If you’ve been around for a while you’ve read about my run in with skinks, a snake, and a mouse.

Now it’s a chipmunk. Chipmunks are furry and cute. I think I can handle them. I know they can eat through telephone wires and dig holes…but at least they are cute.

This one is eating from our bird feeder right in front of the dining room window. It made wonderful breakfast entertainment. Continue reading
