You never know where you might be when God calls on you to present the gospel. Scripture tells us to be ready and willing at all times to spread the good news. Here is a simple way to illustrate the gospel message using a pen and a napkin.
Materials: Pen, blank napkin
Ever since creation there has been GOD and MAN.
But there is a division, or a chasm, between the two.
What are some characteristics of GOD?
What are some characteristics of MAN?
Because MAN is sinful and imperfect, MAN cannot have a relationship with GOD. GOD is holy and perfect. Holiness cannot look upon sin. [You could write the words HELL and DEATH at the bottom under SIN and mention that a broken relationship with GOD means judgement, eternal separation, and death.]
MAN can try to cross the chasm himself by doing good works, going to church, or being a good person. But the Bible says that whatever MAN might try to do as righteousness, it is as filthy rags. MAN cannot cross the divide in his own power.
GOD loves His creation so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to this earth. Because Jesus is GOD, He has the same characteristics as GOD.
Jesus, pure, sinless and without blame, died on the cross knowing that He would take MAN’S sins upon Himself. He, then, became a bridge across the chasm.
But MAN still has to do his part. MAN must have faith and believe that Jesus died and rose again. The scriptures say, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.”
To “be saved” means to have a restored relationship with GOD. And it is worth sharing with others. “Whoever believes in [Jesus] will not perish, but have everlasting life.” “Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you will be saved.”
The following video is a song by Point of Grace called, “The Great Divide.” The words are excellent and illustrate this presentation of the gospel well.
If you choose to use this method of presenting the gospel, please let me know how it goes! I’d love to see how God is working across the world! And PLEASE share this with others who have a desire to spread the gospel!!
May the Lord be praised from the mountains and the valleys! May His name be extolled throughout the heavens! If His people are silent, then the rocks will cry out. May God bless your efforts as you tell others about Jesus!!

LOVE it!
THANKS!!!
