Two More Awards to Pass On

When I first started this blogging thing my husband told me, “Don’t get hooked into doing those awards. They’re just a version of chain letters.”

I guess he’s probably right, but I would have missed out on finding so many new people! The blogging world is crazy full of awesome people and I enjoy stumbling upon either  Readers, like you, or new Blogs to follow.

Now I know I don’t do all of the “requirements,” but these are still fun to pass on and an easy way to tell other bloggers that they are appreciated. So I thank all of you who have passed on any awards to me. They do not go unnoticed, even if it takes me a while to pass them on at times.

I wasn’t too sure about this first award when I got it. I was nominated for the Mrs. Sparkly’s Ten Commandment Award by ForHisGloryandPraise. I wasn’t sure how to react, but I found some information about it over at Home To Go 232. I’ll copy what she says about this award: The “Mrs. Sparkly’s Ten Commandments Award” has to do with a woman of the same name, known for being very elegant and having high expectations, and who is committed to maintaining integrity, good manners and behavior, as well as a rich sense of humor.

I’m sure any woman would love to have that description stated about herself. I’ve only had one other person in my life describe me as “elegant,” so I will take this award and run before anyone finds out the truth!

The second award is the One Lovely Blog Award given to me by Michelle at ForGodITestify. The rules for this award are that you must answer the following questions, nominate some blogs that you think deserve the award, and contact the writers of those blogs.  So here are the questions…

1. Describe yourself in seven words… fiercely loyal, family focused, attempting Christlike behavior

2. What keeps you up at night?  two kids

3. Whom do you aspire to be like?  Jesus

5. What scares you?  heights

6. What are the best and worst things about blogging?  Best: meeting all kinds of different people with different passions   Worst: it takes up a lot of time

7. What was the last website you looked at?  http://www.clemson.edu/public/regulatory/ag_svc_lab/soil_testing/collecting_samples.html

8. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?  to be less judgmental

  3. Oh my goodness…I am so honored! I am visiting my son in Chicago…so my access to the internet is limited. :) I have never received this award before…I am thrilled and will post about it when I get back home at the end of next week. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! It was fun finding out more about you…I love that part of these awards. :)

  4. We were away for the weekend and what a lovely surprise to come home to, thank you for thinking of me. When I started blogging I never thought there would be a fun way to get to meet new internet friends. As I find new blogs, I enjoy reading about their awards as much as I enjoy reading their blogs. I have learned a lot of interesting things, renewed my love of photography, found an appreciation of Haiku and met some very interesting people. Blessings ~ Patty

  6. Congratulations on both awards! You wrote about them so well, and taught me more about the Mrs. Sparkly award. Our humbleness would probably keep us all feeling unworthy for such an award, no matter how worthy of it we are. I saw it as being an award for those who shine for Christ no matter what they are blogging on, or who through their comments shined with a goodness and politeness, also a love for others that made the blogger commented on feel wonderful.
