YEA!!! I was wondering how I’d do after a week of Vacation Bible School and not cooking dinner all week. After gaining a little last week, I am excited to lose a few pounds. It’s nice to think that I only have 11 pounds left until I reach my goal weight!
Goal 1: To lose 2 pounds a week.
Goal 2: Get up by 7:00.
I think I did this except a few days later in the week as VBS took its toll. We were worn out! And then Sweet Cheeks has been sick in the later days of the week, so getting up every 2 hours throughout the night didn’t help this goal any.
Goal 3: Go to bed before 11:00pm.
I think I did this almost every night. To be honest, I’m not sure.
Goal 4: Exercising 3 times a week.
Not great, but I did a lot of dancing with 48 preschoolers for 5 days! And walking all over the gym back and forth and back and forth. I also mowed the grass with the push mower. I’ve gotta wrap my head around this goal and kick myself to do something!!
Successes for the Week:
I am pleased with how I handled the food at church during the week. I either ate very little and ate when I got home, or I had a huge plate of salad. Another success is that I completed my 40 day fast of chocolate on Saturday. Now I can eat the chocolate portions of the medifast meals! There were times when I REALLY wanted chocolate, but my promise to God came first and turning down the temptation wasn’t that hard. We’ll see how things go now that I have the freedom back. I can tell that my body has changed how it can handle greasy and very sweet foods.
Another encouragement was reading an article about the CEO of Weight Watchers. Evidently he has his book coming out on the market, but he mentions that it took him 7 years to finally hit and keep his goal weight. THAT MADE ME FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!! I’m in the middle of my third year. So there is hope!
How are you doing???
Thanks for stepping into my world. A world where kids want to be flying saucers, school takes place all over the house, and God reigns.
